Scaling Open Social Media

Only... Not For Now, It Seems... Bummer ;(

Despite the fantastic support from our NOAW unconference attendees, our generous sponsors, and our partnership with criticalinfralab.net (UVA, UU) to develop a plan for ‘Scaling Social Media Alternatives for Public Institutions’, our application was unfortunately not selected for a grant from the ScaleDem Piloting 2026 Program (EU Horizon).

➔ We’re currently exploring alternative support options so please get in touch if you have any suggestions for alternative grants or funding opportunities where we could submit our proposal.

Our plan blueprint is available here. This plan aims to support the adoption of social media alternatives by public institutions through unconferences that bring together representatives from public institutions, advocates, technologists, experts and other policymakers.

Questions? Tips? Advises? Please reach out. We would love to hear from you:
